EU CyberNet:

Enhancing Cybersecurity Networking and Collaboration

Unifying Cyber Efforts

In a time where digital threats are rapidly evolving, robust cybersecurity measures are paramount. EU CyberNet is at the forefront of this battle, a project that helps enhance the coordination and effectiveness of cybersecurity initiatives across Europe. EU CyberNet is on a journey to reinforce Europe’s digital resilience by fostering collaboration and sharing expertise.

The startup: How EU Cybernet sparked a new era in cybersecurity

The urgent need for cohesive cybersecurity efforts drove the establishment of the EU CyberNet. Before its start, various projects aimed at building cybersecurity capacities existed but suffered from a lack of coordination. Recognizing this critical gap, the Estonian Information System Authority (RIA) proposed a comprehensive project to the European Commission, resulting in the start of the EU CyberNet.

Building Knowledge and Collaboration

EU Cybernet is driven by key objectives:

  1. Advocate cybersecurity as an integral element of all digital and influence public policy and regulation.
  2. Foster research and educational initiatives to enhance the skills and knowledge base for the industry, labour market and wider society at large.

By providing a platform for collaboration, FISC aims to equip its members with the resources needed to tackle cybersecurity challenges effectively.

    EU Cybernet’s initiatives

EU Cybernet hosts multiple events and initiatives designed to keep its members at the forefront of the industry:

    1. Annual conferences and monthly expert events: Bringing together the cybersecurity community for comprehensive discussions.
    2. Technical and non-technical training sessions: Providing hands-on training for cybersecurity professionals in other countries by experts of the network.
    3. Topical seminars: Addressing conceptual issues and strategic capacity building.
    4. Practical exercises: Including tabletop simulations to prepare for real-world scenarios.

These activities cover a broad spectrum of cybersecurity topics, ensuring continuous learning and adaptation. These activities cover a broad spectrum of cybersecurity topics, ensuring continuous learning and adaptation.
